YOLO? No, Actually, YODO.

So it's become popular to scream 'YOLO' [an acronym meaning 'You Only Live Once'] while doing something ridiculous and uninhibited. While I appreciate the life-affirming sentiment, I beg to differ: You only DIE once. Here's how to make sure the days between now and then don't totally suck...

  1. Train hard for strength. 
    1. Strength gains last a lifetime.
  2. Do just enough conditioning to get past your athletic goals. 
    1. You don't keep conditioning levels for long, so think about what you need to do in the next 2 weeks, and condition for that.
  3. Throw in some light bodybuilding to look better at the pool. 
    1. It's not vanity if you're doing it for the benefit of others.
  4. Don't ever scream 'YOLO' around me.
    1. Because I. Will. End. You.
